Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a highly analytical FP&A Analyst for a contract opportunity with a client in the Atlanta Metro area. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial modeling, budgeting, and cost analysis experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and can provide actionable insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed analysis of operational and departmental costs, identifying trends, drivers, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to establish cost ownership and accountability for key expense categories.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports that provide actionable insights.
  • Support budgeting processes, including variance analysis and scenario planning.
  • Recommend and help implement process improvements, cost control measures, and reporting systems to enhance financial visibility and efficiency.
  • Monitor and track expenses, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related roles with a strong emphasis on cost analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience building financial models; familiarity with financial systems and tools preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other large ERP/financial systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
